10 New Features For The Thar Nameplate Will Be Available In The 5-Door Mahindra Thar Roxx

With a number of first-time innovations, the Mahindra Thar Roxx is poised to redefine the Thar brand and increase its competitiveness and appeal to both urban and off-road enthusiasts.

Panoramic Sunroof

The Thar Roxx will have a panoramic sunroof, which is a first for the Thar moniker, according to a new teaser from Mahindra. The 3-door Thar is not equipped with a sunroof, just like the earlier iterations of the Thar.

10.25-inch Touchscreen

The next Thar Roxx mid-spec variant, as seen in recently leaked photos, would have a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, just like the new Mahindra XUV400 EV. This touchscreen will also feature wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which is a first for the Thar brand.

Fully Digital Driver’s Display

The Mahindra Thar Roxx will include a fully digital driver’s display, similar to the new XUV 3XO and XUV400 EV, as several spy photos have verified. This will be the Thar nameplate’s second first. When the current-spec Thar made its debut in 2020, it featured a multi-information display (MID) on a semi-digital instrument cluster.

Auto AC

With features like rear AC vents and auto air conditioning, the Thar Roxx will for the first time put the comfort of its passengers first. The Thar Roxx will also come equipped with a second-row bench seat that has an integrated centre armrest, which will increase comfort levels and improve the quality of long trips for all passengers.

Wireless Phone Charger

The inconvenience of utilising cords to charge your phone while on the go is eliminated with a wireless phone charger. This useful feature, which is now present in other Mahindra vehicles, will be included in the Mahindra Thar Roxx.

Six Airbags

Numerous mass-market automobiles have started to include this crucial safety element as the Indian government works to mandate six airbags in every vehicle. Moreover, the Mahindra Thar Roxx might come with six airbags instead of the present 3-door model’s two front airbags.

ADAS

A set of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), which the longer-wheelbase Thar is slated to get directly from the Mahindra XUV 3XO, will be a vital safety element.

360-degree Camera

Additionally, the Thar Roxx is probably going to have a 360-degree camera, which will make manoeuvring in confined parking places easier and more convenient. This innovation may also be helpful in overcoming off-road obstacles, giving drivers a better perspective of their surroundings and facilitating more efficient navigation.

Push Button Start/Stop

A push-button start/stop may be one of the several convenience features Mahindra offers for the Thar Roxx. This contemporary feature would make this lifestyle SUV more appealing to city dwellers by enhancing its ease of use and refinement.

Rear Disc Brakes

Rear disc brakes, which are anticipated to be added to the production model of the longer, heavier Mahindra Thar Roxx to improve safety, have been observed on a number of test mules.

Bonus – LED Headlights

There have been multiple teases suggesting that the Thar Roxx will launch with all-LED headlights. Prior to its recent launch, the Force Gurkha and Maruti Jimny were the only vehicles that have LED headlights, whereas the Thar was limited to halogen lamps. The Thar’s ability to see better at all times, especially during off-road excursions, will be improved by LED headlights, increasing its competitiveness against these rivals.
