8 New 7-Seater Vehicles Coming To India This FY: Launch Specifics

In FY25, several automakers, including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra, Kia, and Toyota, plan to introduce new seven-seater vehicles in India.

Up to eight new seven-seater automobiles (SUVs and MPVs) from manufacturers including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra, Kia, Toyota, and others are probably going to be introduced in India during the current fiscal year.

1. Hyundai Alcazar Facelift:

The newly redesigned Hyundai Alcazar, which will go on sale in the second quarter of this fiscal year, will take major cues from the recently unveiled new Creta, both inside and out. It will have additional features like Level 2 ADAS and an improved equipment list.

2. Kia EV9:

Kia’s flagship seven-seater electric SUV, which claims a 541 km driving range in the WLTP cycle, has received a great deal of appreciation in international markets. Either this holiday season or the last quarter of current fiscal year is when it is expected to launch in India. Its goal is to create a significant impact in the premium segment of the Indian market by positioning itself above the EV6.

3. Toyota Fortuner Mild Hybrid:

The Toyota Fortuner MHEV has been on sale in locations like South Africa for a few months and is anticipated to reach India before the end of this fiscal year. It will make use of the same 48V mild hybrid technology as the Hilux MHEV in order to increase acceleration, reduce emissions, and improve fuel economy.

4. New-Gen Kia Carnival:

In the upcoming months, India will host the debut of the fourth generation Carnival. It had a facelift a few weeks ago on a worldwide scale, and the India-spec luxury MPV will see comparable improvements both inside and out. However, as this is the first time an entirely new generation is reaching Indian shores, it is a significant departure both inside and out from the previous model that is on sale. The eight-speed torque converter automatic gearbox will still be mated to the 2.2L diesel engine.

5. Mahindra XUV.e8:

Mahindra is scheduled to introduce the XUV.e8, which is based on the XUV700, in India during the fourth quarter of this fiscal year. It will be developed on the INGLO platform and might make use of Mahindra and VW’s collaboration. There are rumours that it will have a feature list akin to the XUV700 and a driving range of more than 500 kilometres.

6. 5-Door Force Gurkha:

The five-door Force Gurkha will go on sale in the upcoming weeks, after being teased in India. It will include a larger touchscreen, a shift-on-fly knob, and a new digital cluster inside. It will be offered with several seating arrangements, including a seven-seater option. The five-speed MT and the 2.6L diesel engine from Mercedes-Benz will remain in place.

7. 7-Seater Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara & Toyota Hyryder:

It is anticipated that the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder three-row models will be on sale in India before the end of the current fiscal year. In contrast to their siblings with five seats, they will receive exterior improvements as well as modifications behind the C-pillar to make room for the extra row of seats. There will be no change to the well-known 1.5L mild hybrid and 1.5L strong hybrid petrol engines.
