Up to nine new vehicles from automakers including Tata Motors, Mahindra, Nissan, Citroen, MG, Mercedes-Benz, and Lamborghini are scheduled to go on sale in India in August 2024.
Tata Curvv EV & ICE:
Tata is expected to reveal the Curvv EV’s pricing on August 7; it may begin at more than Rs. 17 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-end models are expected to have a range of more than 600 miles and be packed with high-end features and technology. The 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel Curvv ICE is anticipated to hit showrooms in the weeks after the EV makes its debut.
Thar Roxx Mahindra:
The five-door Thar Roxx, which gets significant exterior upgrades over the standard three-door variant, will be unveiled by Mahindra on August 15. Its dimensions will be greater, and its interior will be more spacious. It will have three engine options: a 2.0L gasoline engine, a 2.2L diesel, and a 1.5L diesel. The transmissions are manual or automatic. A standout element will be a cabin with extra features.
New Nissan X-Trail:
The latest generation X-Trail is now accepting reservations; its pricing will be on sale on August 1. The high-end SUV will only be offered in small numbers and will enter the nation through the CBU method. It has a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine with three cylinders that is mated to a CVT with paddle shifters.
CUV Based on MG Cloud:
It has been confirmed that JSW MG Motor will release its midsize electric CUV, which it hinted just a few days ago. Although the precise debut date is unknown, we anticipate it to come in September or before the end of August. It is based on the Wuling Cloud EV, which is sold overseas and combines the best aspects of a sedan and an SUV, with a focus on comfort, practicality, and premium equipment.
Basalt Citroen:
The 1.2L three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine of the Citroen Basalt SUV Coupe, which will be available with both MT and AT options, will put it in direct competition with the future Tata Curvv ICE. On August 2, the production-spec Basalt will be revealed, and in the weeks that follow, its costs will be disclosed.
Mercedes-Benz GLC 43 Coupe & CLE Cabriolet:
On August 8, Mercedes-Benz India will introduce the AMG GLC 43 Coupe and the CLE Cabriolet in India.
