In India, Xiaomi revealed the eagerly anticipated premium camera-focused Xiaomi 14 CIVI series phone.
With a 6.55-inch 1.5K (2750 x 1236p) OLED display, the new Xiaomi 14 CIVI looks great. It provides up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and a dynamic refresh rate of 120 Hz. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 shield protects the display.
It also has two SIM slots, a type-C USB connector, an infrared sensor for controlling Internet-of-things (IoT) devices at home, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
It has Qualcomm’s most recent 4nm class octa-core silicon, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, with an Adreno 735 GPU, 8GB or 12GB of LPPDDR5x RAM, 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, Xiaomi HyperOS, an Android 14 operating system, and a 4,700mAh battery with a 67W fast charger inside.
The new Xiaomi phone’s camera is its USP. With a 50MP rear camera (1/1.55-inch Light Fusion 800 sensor, f/1.63 aperture, Hyper OIS: Optical Image Stabilisation, Leica Summilux lens) and a 12MP 120-degree ultra-wide angle lens (f/2.2, Omnivision OV13B10 sensor), it features a Leica camera system. Additionally, there is a 50MP 2X telephoto camera (f/1.98, OIS, Samsung JN1 sensor) with LED flash. Up to 4K video recording is supported.
It has a dual-camera module on the front: a 32MP camera with quad soft LEDs and a 32MP camera with Samsung S5K3D2’s OmniVision technology and a 78-degree field of view (f/2.0). Moreover, 4K video recording is supported.
The device is available from the company in three colours: shadow black classic matte edition, matcha green nano-tech vegan leather edition, and cruise blue dual-slice edition.
It is important to mention that 64% of the match green, which has a vegan leather back panel, is composed of carbon that is sourced from sustainable sources. Additionally, the back panel’s material has a distinctive parquet pattern, which gives each Xiaomi 14 CIVI matcha green colour variant its unique identity.
The very smooth anti-glare glass in the cruise blue and shadow black versions has a stylish matte look that deters sweat-induced fingerprint smudges.
The new Xiaomi 14 CIVI is available for Rs 39,999 and Rs 44,999 in two variants: 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage.
