Gangs of Godavari: Vishwak Sen’s Movie Takes in a Total of Rs. 19.70 Crores Globally at the Box Office

Mas Ka Das Vishwak Sen has made a name for himself in Tollywood with his distinct charm and stirring performances. ‘Gangs of Godavari,’ his most recent venture, sought to build on his recent success. Although the movie created a lot of excitement at first, its box office success was just a semi-hit.

“Gangs of Godavari,” an action-drama helmed by Krishna Chaitanya, is situated against the Godavari region. With Vishwak Sen in the major role with Neha Shetty, Anjali, and Nassar supporting him, the film features a strong ensemble cast. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s soundtrack gives the production yet another level of intrigue.

“Gangs of Godavari” was off to a promising start. The movie did reasonably well in all of the Telugu states, especially in Nizam (Telangana) and Andhra Pradesh. An estimated Rs. 10.30 crore was traded on the Telugu market overall. This includes collections from abroad as well as Karnataka and other regions of India.

But after the first week, the movie’s trajectory declined, even with the initial great reception. It never became a smash due to unfavourable reviews and a steady drop in attendance.

Over the course of its whole run throughout the Telugu states, “Gangs of Godavari” was able to garner a share of Rs. 8.70 crore, or a total gross collection of Rs. 15.75 crore. The overall revenue was Rs. 19.70 crore when earnings from other territories were added.

Industry insiders claim that the movie’s revenue goal was approximately Rs. 11.00 crore. “Gangs of Godavari” came just short of breaking even, despite reaching a total of Rs. 10.50 crore during its whole run. Based on this showing, the movie is rated as a semi-hit.

Although ‘Gangs of Godavari’ was not a huge hit, it does highlight Vishwak Sen’s commitment to playing a variety of roles and his ability to hold the attention of viewers. With its compelling backdrop and thrilling plot, the movie provided an insight into the Godavari region’s way of life.
