Oppo Reno 12 5G Series: The nation’s top smartphone manufacturer, Oppo, unveiled its new Reno 12 Pro 5G and Reno 12 5G phones on Friday, July 12. The new devices run Android 14 and use a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset.

Recently, the Oppo Reno 12 series debuted in China and a few more international markets. Finally available in India are the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G and Reno 12 5G smartphones.

Oppo Reno 12 5G Series: Confirmed Specifications

The new phones’ 120Hz refresh rate is their best feature. A customised octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 powers the Reno 12 Pro 5G and Reno 12 5G. With the use of a microSD card, phones’ RAM and storage can be expanded to 1TB.

Additionally, the display supports HDR10+, giving customers outdoor brightness of up to 1200 nits.

The Oppo Reno 12 5G series is equipped with three rear cameras. The 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), the 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra wide-angle camera, and the 50-megapixel Samsung S5KJN5 telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom comprise the camera system of the Pro model.

It has a 50-megapixel Samsung S5KJN5 selfie camera on the front. The same 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 sensor with OIS powers the Oppo Reno 12 5G. The 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor and the 2-megapixel macro sensor are included on the main camera. Its 32-megapixel front camera is ideal for taking selfies.

India Launches Oppo Reno 12 5G Series: Cost and Availability
The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage version of the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G costs Rs 36,999, while the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage version costs Rs 40,999. Space Brown and Sunset Gold are the colour options. The first day of the sale is July 18.

The Oppo Reno 12 5G with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs 32,999 rupees.
