August 7, 2024 is when the Tata Curvv EV is expected to be on sale. India’s first mass-market all-electric SUV-coupe, the Curvv EV is built on the same Acti.ev platform as the Punch EV. After revealing the Curvv EV’s outside design, Tata has now hinted at the interior of the production-spec car.
Gets a Dashboard Layout Like Nexon
The Tata Curvv EV’s dashboard substantially resembles the Tata Nexon EV’s, as the teaser video makes evident. The drive mode selector, gear shifter, central console, and AC vents all have designs that are similar to the Nexon EV. The Curvv EV, in contrast to the Nexon EV, has a 4-spoke steering wheel that is taken from the Tata Harrier/Safari. The Tata emblem is lighted on the Curvv EV’s steering wheel, just like it is on more recent Tata vehicles.
The fully digital driver’s display (perhaps a 10.25-inch device) and the touchscreen (maybe a 12.3-inch unit) are both shown in the teaser, and they are both probably borrowed from the Nexon EV. Additionally, there was red ambient illumination visible on the dashboard.
Exterior Design
The Tata Nexon EV and the Curvv EV share a similar exterior design. The front bumper and linked LED DRLs are the same as those on the Nexon EV. The Curvv EV sets itself apart from the side with its coupe roofline, newly crafted aerodynamic alloy wheels, and flush-style door handles. The Curvv EV has a blacked-out bumper and connected LED tail lights on the back.
Features & Safety
A panoramic sunroof, dual-zone air conditioning, ventilated front seats, and a premium audio system are possible further anticipated features of the Curvv EV. The Curvv EV is expected to come equipped with electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera with blind view monitor, and six airbags as standard equipment. Advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) technologies including automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist are also anticipated for the Curvv EV.
Expected Range
Tata has not yet disclosed the details of the Curvv EV’s electric engine or battery pack, but it is expected to come with two options for a 500 km range. Similar to the Tata Nexon EV, the Tata Curvv EV will also include vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) capabilities.
Expected Price & Rivals
Prices for the Tata Curvv EV are anticipated to start at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will face off against the MG ZS EV, the soon-to-be Hyundai Creta EV, and the Maruti eVX.
