The Chery Fulwin A9 Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle will Launch in Early 2025

On October 8, Chery published the body colour photos of its next Fulwin A9 plug-in hybrid sedan, which will be available in nine colours: Wonderland Green, Snow Ridge White, Bibo Blue, Ningye Purple, Xuanye Blue, Danfeng Red, Cuizhu Green, Moshi Black, and Tanhai Green. The mass-produced Fulwin A9 is scheduled to be available in early 2025.

Fulwin is known in China as Fengyun, a new energy vehicle series from Chery. Since its inception in late 2023, the Fulwin series has released four models in less than a year, including SUVs and sedans: the T10, T9, T6, and A8, all of which are plug-in hybrids. Fulwin’s sales objective for 2024 is 200,000 vehicles, according to Yao Fei, deputy general manager of Chery Marketing.

The Fulwin A9 debuted in September 2023 and has since exhibited at other auto events in China. Based on the model name, the Fulwin A9 is predicted to rank higher than the Fulwin A8, with a starting price of roughly 250,000 yuan (35,400 USD). It is worth noting that the car will be fitted with an L3+ assisted driving system, and Chery has revealed that the body length is about five meters and the wheelbase is nearly three meters long.

The Fulwin A9’s appearance features a closed front face ornamented with dot-matrix light-emitting elements and a three-stage grille at the bottom.

The rear incorporates a through-type taillight set and an electronic wing, which add to the vehicle’s sportiness. The C-DM plug-in hybrid logo is displayed in the lower left corner.

The Fulwin A9 also has an AWD badge on the lower side of the front door, which indicates that it is four-wheel drive.

Furthermore, power is provided by Chery’s Kunpeng super hybrid C-DM system, which consists of a 1.5T engine and electric motors. The pure electric range is 200 kilometres, while the total range with a full tank and full charge is 1,400 kilometres.
