Vivo X200 and X200 Pro with Zeiss Lenses, Long-Lasting Batteries, and Dimensity 9400 Launched

The X200 series has been formally launched by Vivo in China. There are three smartphones in the lineup: two Pro variants and a regular phone. They have already discussed the Mini model, which is one of the two Pro phones.

This is the second flagship SoC with no efficiency ratings and MediaTek’s first 3 nm mobile chipset.

The Vivo X200 sports three cameras on the back, each of which is a 50 MP sensor, in addition to the chipset. Zeiss T* optics are used in all of them, although the X200 Pro has a better camera configuration. Its 200 MP periscope telephoto sensor is identical to the one found in the X100 Ultra.

The same Vivo V3+ imaging chip that powers the X100 Ultra is also included in the X200 Pro. Its main camera is the Sony LYT-818, which has a 1/1.28-inch sensor and a specially designed f/1.57 lens. Although it appears to be a step down from the X100 Ultra’s 1-inch primary sensor, Vivo asserts that it can compete with the larger sensors in terms of image and video quality.

The X200 Pro boasts a 6.78-inch LTPO screen on the front, while the normal X200 features a 6.67-inch display. Both of them support HDR10+, have a maximum brightness rating of 4500 nits, and have a variable refresh rate of 120 Hz. A 32 MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture is also featured on the front of the two.

Price and availability of the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro

The Vivo X200 is priced at CNY 4,299 (about $604) at launch, and CNY 5,499 (approximately $772) at maximum configuration with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. While the top-end model with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage costs CNY 6,499 (about $913), the entry-level X200 Pro starts at CNY 5,299 (roughly $744).

Although Vivo has not yet disclosed information regarding global availability and pricing, the X100 series was introduced to the world market immediately following its Chinese debut. Thus, the X200 lineup may soon be introduced outside of China.
