Jumanji 3 Release Date Released, Expected Return of Dwayne Johnson and Main Adult Cast
The release date for Jumanji 3 has been revealed.
In Jake Kasdan’s 2017 film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Dwayne Johnson costarred with Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan. In 2019, a follow-up film called Jumanji: The Next Level, which was also directed by Kasdan, was released.
Kasdan explained in March 2020 that a third Jumanji film was in the works. Jumanji 3 now has an official release date.
When is the Jumanji 3 Release Date?
Sony Pictures will release Jumanji 3 in theatres across the United States on December 11, 2026. It is anticipated that Gillan, Black, Hart, Johnson, and Kasdan will all return for the film.
Plot specifics are still being kept secret. It is unclear at this time whether the adolescent characters portrayed by Johnson, Black, Hart, and Gillan in real life, who were portrayed by Alex Wolff, Ser’Darious Blain, Madison Iseman, and Morgan Turner in the first two films, will also return.
Technically speaking, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a follow-up to Jumanji (1995), which was based on the same-titled children’s picture book by Chirs Van Allsburg from 1981. Starring in that film were Bonnie Hunt, Kirsten Dunst, David Alan Grier, and Robin Williams. In 2005, Jon Favreau’s spin-off, Zathura: A Space Adventure, was released.
For Sony, Jumanji has been a huge box office success. At the worldwide box office, the 2017 film earned over $950 million, and the follow-up earned an astounding $801.7 million.
Before Jumanji 3, Kasdan and Johnson collaborated again on Red One, which opens in theatres in the US on November 15, 2024. Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, and J. K. Simmons are co-stars of the Christmas adventure film.
The Next Level on Hulu, and you can stream the 1995 Jumanji film and Zathura: A Space Adventure on Netflix.
