The Elantra N TCR version, a special version of Hyundai’s sedan, was formally introduced. This model is intended to pique the interest of enthusiasts for high-performance automobiles.
Inspired by the Hyundai racing vehicle that won the Touring vehicle Racing (TCR) event, which has been open to manufacturers since 2017, the model, known as the Avante N TCR Edition in the South Korean market, was constructed.
On Monday, November 18, N Brand Vice President Joon Park explained, “Hyundai Motor has combined the experience and expertise gathered in motorcycle sports into the Elantra N TCR Edition,” as cited on the corporate website.
The sedan’s performance can be enhanced by a number of components.
The lightweight Carbon Swan Neck Spoiler on the Elantra N TCR Edition may be modified to deliver the best downforce settings for different driving situations and tastes.
As standard, the four-piston N Performance braking system is covered by a robust yet lightweight 19-inch NTCR rim on this high-performance sedan.
The large N sticker on the outside of this car, which resembles a TCR racing car, adds to its unique appearance. Nevertheless, this choice is limited to the South Korean market.
Moving inside, the Hyundai N’s motorsport DNA is strengthened with the addition of an aeronautical steering wheel that bears the Performance Blue logo. Next is a standard blue N seat belt that is specially marked with the TCR Edition insignia.
Hyundai made no mention of this model’s increased power. With a segaris 4-cylinder engine and eight DCT acceleration gears, the Elantra N TCR Edition maintains its performance, generating 276 dk of power and 392 Nm of torque.
With a top speed of 250 km/h, this sporty sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.
Next month, the Elantra N TCR Edition will be introduced in South Korea by the manufacturer with the asymmetrical “H” badge. In 2025, it will be made available worldwide.
