In India, TECNO has released the TECNO POP 9, their newest low-cost smartphone. The phone has a 5000 mAh battery, a MediaTek G50 processor, and a 90Hz display.
The 6.67-inch HD (720 x 1600 pixel) TECNO POP 9 display has a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180 Hz. Additionally, the display has a brightness of 480 nits.
This is the first phone featuring a MediaTek G50 processor in India. Additionally, a Mali-IMG PowerVR GE8320 CPU is included of the SoC. The phone supports 3GB of virtual RAM in addition to 3GB of LPDDR4x RAM. Additionally, it includes 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded to 1TB.

On the back of it is a 13-megapixel rear camera. 4X Digital Zoom, AI Cam, Video, Beauty Mode, Portrait, Time-Lapse, Panorama, Professional, and Slow Motion are among the modes available in the camera app. Additionally, 1080p video recording is supported. The phone also features a Dual Flash and an 8 megapixel front camera for selfies.
Two speakers are set up using DTS. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side button, and it also features an integrated infrared sensor. Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz) are available connectivity options.
With a 5000 mAh battery, the TECNO POP 9 can play videos for 9.5 hours and listen to music for 100 hours. Additionally, 15W charging is supported.
The TECNO POP 9 boasts a splashproof body thanks to its IP54 classification. It weighs 188.5g and has dimensions of 165.62mm x 77.01mm x 8.35mm (8.55mm in leather variant).
The TECNO POP 9 is priced at Rs. 6,699, but with bank incentives of Rs. 200, it will be available for Rs. 6,499 instead.
