Mahindra XEV 9e & BE 6e: Features

What to anticipate from the Mahindra XEV 9e and the BE 6e has been hinted at in the earlier teasers. As confirmed by earlier spy photos, the Mahindra BEV 6e will have a dual screen layout, while the XEV 9e will have a triple screen configuration. A huge panoramic sunroof, an almost square steering wheel with what look like haptic buttons, and an illuminated “BE” insignia are included with both variants. On the right side of the steering wheel are ADAS assists and toggle buttons. For regen chores, the paddle shifters are also visible.

While the XEV 9e has a third screen for the front seat passenger, both SUVs have separate gear shift levers on the centre console. In addition to other amenities like wireless charging and ventilated seats, both electric SUVs are anticipated to be equipped with ADAS technology.

Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e: Specs

Mahindra plans to install two different kinds of EV batteries in the XEV 9e and BE 6e electric SUVs. R Velusamy, who leads Mahindra’s automotive technology division, claims that the company’s next electric vehicles would be powered by a 59kWh and 79kWh battery pack. The two EVs are built on Mahindra’s new INGLO platform, which will work with DC fast chargers and utilise Blade battery technology that was acquired from the massive Chinese EV manufacturer BYD. On a single charge, the two batteries should provide a range of 450–500 miles.

Mahindra has disclosed the performance that the two electric SUVs are anticipated to deliver. It will provide power in the range of 228 to 282 horsepower. Thus, the BE 6e and XEV 9e would rank among India’s most potent electric vehicles. Additionally, the BE 6e might have two electric motors and produce more power.
