With a combined 46 points from Kylie Clem and Raegan Walker, Corbin defeated Harlan County 63-58 on Friday.
Despite leading the entire game, Corbin (3-0) had to withstand a late comeback by the Lady Black Bears, who lost to 0-3.
At the end of the first quarter, the Lady Redhounds had a 16–12 lead, and at halftime, they were ahead 28–22. Even though Harlan County made four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, Corbin maintained its lead at 45-42 at the end of the third quarter.
Before scoring 18 of her 26 points in the second half, Clem had only eight points in the first half. In the last 16 minutes, she made 8 of 10 free throw tries.
Walker finished with a 4-of-8 free-throw shooting percentage and scored 10 of her 20 points in the second quarter. Corbin received seven more points from Lydia King.
Jaylee Cochran made five 3-pointers and finished with 18 points, while Kylee Runions led Harlan County with 25 points and made 10 of 11 free-throw line tries.
