The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV is Expected to Launch in India in mid-2025 with Advanced Features
Using the name of one of its current models, the Urban Cruiser, Toyota has unveiled its next electric car. This electric vehicle, which is a rebranded Maruti Suzuki eVitara, is scheduled to make its debut in India. Toyota guarantees clear distinctions in features, performance, and design even though they share a platform. With an unveiling at the Bharat Mobility Show in January of the following year, the launch is expected to occur around mid-2025.
At important vehicle shows like the Brussels Motor Show 2025, the Urban Cruiser EV will be on display. These displays are meant to spark curiosity and draw attention to the car’s distinctive features. A 49 kWh pack and a 61 kWh pack are the two battery options that Toyota intends to provide. An electric motor with 144 horsepower and 189 Nm of torque can be powered by the smaller battery, whereas a larger battery can produce 174 horsepower and the same amount of torque.
With a full charge, the Urban Cruiser EV’s estimated range is between 430 and 550 kilometres. Advanced features are added to this amazing range. Adaptive cruise control, pre-collision systems, lane keep assist, and lane departure alerts are among the ADAS technologies that Toyota is implementing. These features improve driving convenience and safety.
The Urban Cruiser EV delivers a great entertainment experience in addition to safety features. It will have a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen system. A JBL audio system and connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto further improve entertainment.
Toyota equips the Urban Cruiser EV with a sunroof, automated parking brake, wireless phone charger, and ambient lighting to guarantee the comfort and convenience of its passengers. With six airbags and a 360-degree camera vision for full sight, safety is given top priority.
With the release of this EV, Toyota enters the expanding EV industry in India. Tata Motors has been the market leader, but MG has recently become very popular. Toyota wants to make a name for itself with the competitive features and performance of the Urban Cruiser EV.
With its combination of range, safety features, and contemporary technology, Toyota’s Urban Cruiser EV is set to garner notice as electric vehicles become more and more popular in India.
