International rapper, singer, and musician Pitbull has been featuring many DJs on his Sirius XM Channel 13 to-do shows. One weekly show that has been going on for some time now and is done by DJ J Star is now listened to all over the world. He is going to share how he got the opportunity to play on the show for the first time and what does he feel about this extraordinary experience.
DJ J Star first started doing his show on the channel back in 2018. Ever since he has been doing it every week now. “It has to be one of the biggest blessings for a DJ to be heard by millions of listeners on a weekly basis. This opportunity has taught me to become a better open format DJ. I am forever grateful to the team at Sirius XM for giving me this chance to prove myself to the world,” shares J Star. It was not his first experience playing on a radio station. He had already been playing on IHeart Radio Power 105.1 since the year 2015 and had gained a lot of experience from there.
Upon being asked about the reason why he was given the chance, he replied, “It must have been based on my academic career which is focused on audio engineering. I have also worked at IHeart Radio Power 105.1 for a couple of years and did some internships at famous radio stations.” DJ J Star has worked at Hot 97 and 103.5 KTU as an intern right after he got his graduate degree from the Institute Of Audio Research (IAR). Strategically following his career from an early age did him a lot of good with landing on his feet during the earlier years of his professional career.
“I have always been on the radar of famous brands due to my reputation in the vibrant DJ’ing scene of New York City. One very memorable collaboration was with Jack Daniels back in the year 2017. Ever since things have been going uphill for me, if I’m being honest”, shares DJ J Star. The career of DJ J Star has been filled with collaborations with famous brands like Nike, Adidas, Coors Lite, and HBO. Apart from having an international weekly radio show, DJ J Star also works in collaboration with sports teams such as the New York Knicks and the New York Nets. He has played for their multiple events at the Barclays Center and Madison Square Garden.

Even after having a regular radio show, DJ J Star still performs at almost ten shows in the New York / Tri-State Area every week.
