The feature, which Apple had not previously disclosed, will enable the camera to focus on distant objects more quickly, which will facilitate the capture of high-quality telephoto shots.

With iOS 17.2, there will be more camera improvements. Users of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be able to record spatial video with the updated software, which will be compatible with Apple’s upcoming Apple Vision Pro headset. The launch of Journal, a brand-new integrated iOS app that lets you maintain a journal from your device, will also be made possible by Apple’s new software. Developers are currently working on a release candidate, which typically indicates a full release is coming soon. The update should arrive by the end of next week, at the latest. When it does, all you have to do is download the update to your iPhone by going to Settings and selecting General -> Software Update.
