Apple’s New iPhone SE, Featuring AI Capabilities, Will Launch in 2025

Early in the following year, Apple may release the updated version of its cost-effective iPhone SE. Early in 2025, the iPhone SE—which was last updated in 2022—may receive a major redesign. The company’s artificial intelligence suite, Apple Intelligence, may be accessible on the upgraded iPhone SE, along with improved display and design.

iPhone SE: What to expect

The upcoming iPhone SE will have an OLED display with low bezels and a similar design to the iPhone 14. It is anticipated that the smartphone would be able to access Apple Intelligence features, which is noteworthy because at the moment, Apple Intelligence is only available on the iPhone 15 series Pro models.

The A18 CPU, which makes its debut with the iPhone 16 series, may power the upcoming iPhone SE model, combined with 8GB of RAM. This strengthens the likelihood that the iPhone SE will include Apple Intelligence because the company’s upcoming silicon is reportedly designed with handling AI workloads in mind. Furthermore, Apple has previously said that in order for an iPhone to operate Apple Intelligence capabilities, it needs at least 8GB of RAM.

A 6.06-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate of 60Hz is predicted for the upcoming iPhone SE. It might also replace the round Touch ID sensor with a FaceID sensor, just as the iPhone models of the present generation. It is also likely that the USB Type-C port will replace the Lightning connector in the upcoming iPhone SE generation.

Regarding the camera, the iPhone SE is anticipated to sport a single camera arrangement at the rear, akin to the model from the previous generation, but with a 48-megapixel sensor as opposed to the 12-megapixel one seen on the model from the previous generation.
