Audi Q7 Launches for ₹88.66 Lakh: Key Features of the Luxury SUV

Recently, the redesigned Audi Q7 was introduced in India, with ex-showroom prices beginning at 88.66 lakh. There are two trim levels for the 2017 Audi Q7 facelift: Premium Plus and Technology. While keeping its three-row seating arrangement, this revised model adds new features, contemporary technology, and updated style.

Exterior

A redesigned octagonal front grille with a slick silver finish gives the grille a more upscale appearance as part of the 2024 Audi Q7’s dramatic outward revamp. Two split-effect headlights with Matrix HD LED technology flank the grille. For a more contemporary appearance, the LED DRLs have been moved. Additionally, the front and rear bumpers receive new design. The base variant of the Q7 has 19-inch alloy wheels, while the top-spec model has up to 22-inch wheels. Other features include contrast stitching, aluminum-finished roof rails, and a rearview camera with park assist.

Interior

The new Q7’s overall experience is improved by a number of changes, even though the cabin arrangement is still recognisable. Let’s start with the infotainment system, which now allows third-party apps like Spotify and Amazon Music. The passengers can enjoy an immersive audio experience thanks to the 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system that is connected with this system. The full package also includes a powered tailboard with a kick sensor, electrically adjustable front seats and electronically folding third-row seats.

Safety

The vehicle is equipped with upgraded advanced driver aid technologies, and the virtual cockpit instrument cluster display now incorporates warning lights. Eight airbags, a 360-degree parking camera, ABS with EBD, and other safety measures are included.

Engine and performance

The Q7 facelift has a strong drivetrain under the hood. The 3-liter V6 turbocharged gasoline engine produces 335 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. A mild-hybrid system is another feature of the Q7. The 48-volt system smoothes performance and increases fuel efficiency numbers. Additionally, the Q7 has an 8-speed automatic gearbox that transmits the All-Wheel Drive system. This allows the SUV to traverse different types of terrain.

Pricing and Rivals

The 2018 Audi Q7, which retails for 88.66 lakh (ex-showroom), is up against fierce competition in the luxury SUV market from vehicles like the BMW X5, Volvo XC90, and Mercedes-Benz GLE.
