Breeze Airways includes destinations from Orange County before beginning service in February
Low-cost airline Breeze Airways claims to be adding additional destinations from John Wayne Airport just a month after announcing that it would begin serving Orange County in the early part of 2023.
Beginning on February 16, the airline will begin offering nonstop service to Orlando and Provo, Utah, as well as Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio; Pittsburgh; and Rhode Island’s Providence Passengers will not need to change planes on the Providence route, which will only have one layover.)
Wednesday, December 7, the company issued a press release announcing the new routes.
From a basic seat with no extras to first class, which includes priority boarding, a drink and snack on the flight, and up to two checked bags, Breeze has three tiers of fares. It started operating in 2021. However, families don’t have to pay extra to sit together, and even the lowest-priced tickets can be changed or canceled for free up until 15 minutes before departure.
In the past few years, Breeze is the third new budget airline to begin operating in Orange County. In addition to Allegiant Air and Sun Country Airline receiving slots at the airport last year, Spirit Airlines will arrive at JWA in 2020.
