BYD eMax 7 India Debut: Exciting Features and an Early Launch

The eMax 7, which is simply an updated version of BYD India’s current all-electric MPV, the e6, is about to make its Indian debut. While the costs of the model are due to be released tomorrow, 8 October, the bookings are already underway for a token fee of Rs. 51,000.

Sharper creases, a revamped front with leaner LED headlamps, a single slat chrome connecting the headlamps, angular air vents with a reworked bumper, new alloy wheels, and connected LED taillamps are just a few of the features that make the BYD eMax 7 stand out from the e6.

The eMax 7 will feature a redesigned dashboard with a sizable 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, leatherette seats with ventilation, a powered tailgate, a 360-degree surround camera, a wireless charger and a large panoramic glass roof, among many other changes to the interior and features.

A six-seat configuration with captain seats in the second row will also be available for the eMax 7. Both rear rows will feature roof-mounted AC vents, cup holders, adjustable headrests, and three-point seat belts.

Details regarding the powertrain, battery pack, and specifications will be given tomorrow at the unveiling. Upon delivery, the first 1,000 buyers of the BYD eMax 7 will receive a complimentary 7kW and 3kW charger valued at up to Rs. 51,000. These discounts, however, are only available for reservations made through October 8, 2024, and for deliveries made by May 25, 2025.
