Finally, Xiaomi has revealed the much awaited Redmi K70 Ultra. This is the newest flagship phone from its low-cost sub-brand, and it has excellent features and specifications. Following yesterday’s unveiling of the Redmi K70 Ultra Champion Edition, the base model has now also been made official.

1. Redmi K70 Ultra: Layout and Visibility

The Redmi K70 Ultra, which has top-notch specifications and an elegant appearance, was revealed by the Chinese tech giant. There is a flat glass panel with curving edges on the back. The three image sensors and an LED flash module are housed on a sizable camera island. The sides of the item have a metallic frame that enhances its upscale appearance. Redmi’s K70 Ultra offers an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The device weighs 211 grammes and has dimensions of 160.38 x 75.14 x 8.39 mm.

On the other hand, the front features a tall 6.67-inch OLED display (developed in collaboration with TCL) with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 480 Hz, Dolby Vision, 1.5K resolution, and a peak brightness of 4000 nits. The selfie camera punch hole is positioned in the centre of the flat screen of the Redmi K70 Ultra. Xiaomi’s 3840Hz PWM dimming technology offers the best eye protection in the industry in low light conditions.

The Redmi K70 Ultra is outfitted with MediaTek’s flagship 4nm-based Dimesnity 9300+ processor under the hood. This chip is used in conjunction with Xiaomi’s in-house Pengpai T1 signal augmentation chip. This is expected to result in a notable 58% increase in 5G WiFi signal strength, a 20% improvement in GPS performance, and a 12% jump in WiFi performance.

The K70 Ultra is equipped with a D1 microprocessor that functions as an independent display processor, a G1 chipset for power management, and a Surge P2 chipset for quick charging. This device runs on a huge 5,500mAh battery pack and enables 120W wired fast charging. The Redmi K70 Ultra comes in a variety of storage combinations, including 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB models.

There is a selfie camera on the front and three image sensors on the back for optics. A 2-megapixel macro camera and an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens complement the 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 core sensor. For video calls and selfies, the front has a 20-megapixel sensor. Additional noteworthy features include twin stereo speakers, NFC, dual SIM capability, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and an Android OS-based HyperOS custom skin.
