Vivo unveiled the S19 line of smartphones in China. There are pro and standard models in the lineup. They are the follow-up to the December 2017 launch of the Vivo S18 and S18 Pro. The most recent models have minor improvements and a fresh look. The S19 and S19 Pro differ from one another in a key ways.

Vivo S19 series specifications

Starting with the display, the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro feature a 6.78-inch OLED screen with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and 1.5K resolution. A fingerprint reader is built into both phones. The latter has curved edges, whereas the former has a flat panel. The back panel of the S19 pair is formed like an island in the shape of a pill. It has an oblong-shaped module underneath and a circular module on top. The S19 Pro is rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance.

The Vivo S19 boasts two rear cameras: an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation. A 50MP Sony IMX921 with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto unit with 50x digital zoom make comprise the triple rear camera configuration of the S19 Pro. Each phone has a ring LED flash included. There is a 50MP front-facing selfie camera on the Vivo S19 pair. The devices can also take portraits with up to three focal lengths; the Pro version can even take pictures at 85mm.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip that powers the Vivo S19 is the same as the one that powered its predecessor. The Dimensity 9200+ chipset, which powers the S18 Pro, also powers the S19 Pro. Both phones have 512GB of storage and up to 12GB of RAM. Upgraded battery units are included with the S19 pair; the pro and ordinary variants are powered by 5,500mAh and 6,000mAh cells, respectively. Both allow for wired 80W charging. Based on Android 14, OriginOS 4 powers the cellphones.

The standard 8GB + 256GB Vivo S19 edition costs CNY 2,499 (~$344), while the 12GB + 256GB variant costs CNY 2,699 (~$372). The prices for the 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 512GB variants are CNY 2,999 (about $413) and CNY 3,299 (about $455), in that order.

Price-wise, the Vivo S19 Pro models described above cost CNY 3,299 (~$455), CNY 3,499 (~$482), CNY 3,799 (~$523), and CNY 3,999 (~$551). The colour options for the S19 pair are Blue, Grey, Peach (regular), and Green (Pro).
