Deadpool and Wolverine: The Worldwide Box Office Becomes the 5th Highest-Grossing IMAX MCU Movie
After shattering yet another record, Deadpool and Wolverine received another medal. The superhero recently earned the right to brag about being the fifth-highest grossing IMAX MCU film.
Thanks in large part to the box office success of Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, Dune 2, Alien: Romulus, and Deadpool & Wolverine, IMAX is enjoying a fantastic year. With over $130 million in ticket sales, Dune 2 became one of the highest-grossing IMAX films. The 2024 films have lately reached significant milestones.
With $40 million in ticket sales, Alien Romulus became the highest-grossing horror movie at IMAX. Not just the sci-fi horror movie achieved a noteworthy IMAX milestone. With a global total of $84 million, Deadpool and Wolverine became the fifth-highest-grossing MCU picture in IMAX.
The movie is coming to an end with $81 million in Imax ticket sales for Black Panther. Avenger’s Endgame has made $207 million in IMAX money worldwide, making it the highest-grossing MCU movie.
- Avengers: Endgame- $207 Million
- Avengers: Infinity War – $143.58 Million
- Spider-man: No Way Home – $110 Million
- Black Panther – $81.11 Million
- Deadpool & Wolverine – $80 Million
Deadpool & Wolverine has made $1.3 billion worldwide and $622.5 million in domestic revenue. It is a huge hit. It seems improbable that the MCU movie would surpass Dune 2’s Imax worldwide earnings after playing in theatres for more than two months. Nevertheless, since its eight-week release, the movie has remained in the top five at the box office, exceeding all predictions. In its ninth weekend of release, the movie made $5.2 million, ranking third behind the second weekend of Beetlejuice and the new releases Speak No Evil.
