Renders of the first Pixel 9 Pro leak have surfaced, revealing a very different appearance from the current Google phone.
The Pixel 9 Pro has flat edges that very barely curve into the display and back panel, according to @OnLeaks and MySmartPrice. This stands in sharp contrast to the Pixel 6-8 Pro’s curved rail.
The SIM card tray appears to have been moved by Google to the bottom edge, to the right of the USB-C connector, while the power button and volume rocker are still located on the right edge. On the left edge, there is nothing, however there is a cutout to the left of the connector. The mmWave antenna cutout is located on top.
In the meanwhile, the Pixel Fold is obviously an inspiration for the camera bar. Unlike previous phones, this one is a floating pill rather than being attached to the left or right edge. Once more, the three cameras are positioned side by side and have an oblong piece of glass covering them. Ultimately, the left-hand side features very little bezels and a pill-on-pill design.
Adjacent to the camera system, which features a noticeable circle between the primary wide and ultrawide lenses, are two circular cutouts. The other appears to be a temperature sensor that Google is keeping from the Pro model from the previous year. One is for flash.
According to a report by OnLeaks and MySmartPrice, the Pixel 9 Pro will sport a 6.5-inch display, which is significantly smaller than the 6.7-inch panel on the Pixel 8 Pro. This is even though, in what may be a screen size issue, the dimensions are essentially unchanged from the previous year.
Pixel 9 Pro dimensions: 162.7 x 76.6 x 8.5 mm; camera bump: 12.0 mm
Pixel 8 Pro dimensions: 162.6 x 76.5 x 8.8 mm
