In order to assist Gmail users generate insightful and thorough responses more quickly, Google has released its Gemini AI-powered replies.
Users using Gmail on iOS and Android devices may now compose emails and respond to work emails more quickly and intelligently. With the latest update, Google Gemini in Gmail now offers intelligent contextual reply support to its global user base. Yesterday was the official launch of the newly AI-powered feature, which was first revealed at the I/O 2024 conference.
Gemini AI’s smart reply is made to offer thorough answers by examining an email’s content and making recommendations for replies that are specific to each exchange. In a single session, the AI chatbot offers three astute responses in a carousel style. A statement explaining the general direction of each generated option and its uniqueness is appended to each response.
Users can tap to add recommendations, such as greetings, changes to the body content, and other revisions, or long-press on each response to see a brief preview of the text. The current feature rollout is exclusive to premium Gemini members and is only available in English.
Google One AI Premium or Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, or Education Premium are the two options for the premium subscription. It may take some time for customers in different regions to receive the updates, as the features started to go out yesterday.
Contextual responses now function on individual emails rather than the complete thread and integrate smoothly with the summarise functionality. Additionally, it expands the functionality of the Gmail Q&A feature, which serves as a mobile desktop side panel.
Many other new features are also being rolled out by Gmail, such as the blue verified sender checkmarks. Google Workspace now has an additional layer of protection thanks to Gemini’s potent LLMs. Additionally, Gmail no longer displays subject lines for the Promotion and Update categories on Android smartphones. Given how deftly Google is incorporating Gemini into its personal and professional platforms, it will undoubtedly establish itself as one of the best AI chatbots.
