Honour announced the Magic6 and Magic6 Pro, its first flagship smartphones for 2024, as anticipated. Although both phones have made their formal debut in China, they will soon be available in other nations as well.
The phones feature comparable specifications for the most part. The Magic6 Pro has superior camera functionality, so if you’re an avid photographer, you should choose it over the other Honour flagship. The camera is what sets the two phones apart.
The Pro model has a 50-megapixel f/1.4-f/2.0 main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an amazing 180-megpaixel periscope lens (2.5x optical zoom, 100x digital zoom), while the Magic6 has a 50-megapixel f/1.9 main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processors found within both phones come with 12 or 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Furthermore, the 6.8-inch curved AMOLED screens on both flagships have a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 1,264 x 2,800 pixels.
The front-facing camera on the two Honour Magic6 series phones is another distinction. The 32-megapixel selfie camera on the base Magic6 is replaced by a 3D depth face unlock module on the secondary camera in the Magic6 Pro.
It’s also important to note that the Magic6 Pro has a slightly larger 5,600 mAh battery that supports 80 wired and 66W wireless charging, compared to the Magic6’s 5,450 mAh battery that supports 50W and 66W cable charging.
Right now, the lowest priced Magic6 model (12/256GB) can be purchased in China for as little as $620, while the most expensive Magic6 Pro model costs over $800. There are five colour options for the phones: white, blue, green, purple, and black.
