India will Debut A New Automobile in September 2024

Both the holiday season and the upcoming month’s debut of new cars are rapidly approaching. There will be one vehicle in each of these segments—SUVs or sedans, ICE or EVs, mass market or luxury—that arrives in September.

Tata Curvv ICE

Tata Motors unveiled the Curvv EV earlier last month, and on September 2nd, the company will divulge the ICE-powered variant’s price. The company’s new EV-first strategy, which involves launching the electric version first and then the corresponding ICE version, is also represented by the Curvv brand.

The Curvv will be powered by 1.5-liter diesel, 1.2-liter TGDi turbo-petrol, and 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engines under the hood. For every powerplant, there will be a choice between a seven-speed DCA gearbox and a six-speed manual gearbox.

Mercedes-Maybach EQS

Mercedes-Benz India will introduce the new EQS Maybach to the Indian market on September 5. The new premium electric SUV, which made its debut in China last year, will be covered in Maybach insignia everywhere. There are big, eye-catching alloy wheels and lots of chrome embellishments everywhere.

Along with Maybach-specific inserts and graphics, an MBUX tablet in the second row, and two 11.6-inch screens for rear seat passengers, the interior features a recognisable EQS SUV theme. All four wheels of the vehicle are driven by a 108.4kWh battery pack through a dual motor configuration. With a single full charge, the power output is stated at 658 horsepower and 950 Nm of torque, with a 600 km maximum range.

Hyundai Alcazar facelift

The Korean carmaker has unveiled the outside and started taking reservations for the upgraded three-row SUV at a price of Rs. 25,000, meaning that the facelifted Alcazar is halfway here. On September 9th, the prices of the Tata Safari competitor, Kia Carens, and Mahindra XUV700 will be released.

In addition to outward design modifications, the 2024 Alcazar will have an upgraded feature list that includes new upholstery, two huge displays, an ADAS suite, and more. The 1.5-liter turbo-petrol and diesel engines will still be the source of power for it, mated to six-speed manual, seven-speed DCT, and six-speed torque converter automatic transmissions just like the previous model.

MG Windsor EV

On September 11th, the country will see the introduction of the Windsor EV, which is effectively a rebadged Wuling Cloud EV sold elsewhere.

MG has teased the vehicle several times, exposing important details like the steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, LED light bars, and a rear-seat kit. There are two battery pack options for the car available globally; it is unclear which of these would be available for the India-spec vehicle. On a single full charge, a range of up to 460 kilometres is anticipated.

New Maruti Dzire

The next-generation Dzire will arrive in India soon after the new Swift. This revamp will bring new life to the sub-four-meter sedan segment, which is now occupied by the Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze.

A fresh design that matches the upgraded Swift and an electric sunroof have been confirmed by prior sightings of the 2024 Dzire. The new 1.2-liter Z12E petrol engine, which produces 80 horsepower and 112 Nm, will also provide power for it. Power will be sent to the front wheels through five-speed manual and automatic transmissions.

Tata Nexon CNG

Following the release of the Curvv EV and ICE variants, the domestic company will introduce the CNG version of the Nexon to further expand its product line. It was unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year, and it will be the country’s first turbo-petrol-CNG product.

It is safe to assume that the power output in petrol mode will not change from the normal version, even though the technical specs are yet unclear. It will be delivered with both manual and AMT gearboxes and a dual CNG cylinder tank. The vehicle will come with the most powertrain options after introduction, including CNG, diesel, petrol, and electric vehicles.
