The Tata Curvv EV will be equipped with an array of amenities, such as an ADAS-compliant instrument console, a 360-degree camera, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen.
The much awaited Tata Curvv EV, which was introduced a few weeks ago, is scheduled to go on sale in India tomorrow. The Curvv will be the first midsize mass market electric SUV coupe in the nation, and it will be built on the Acti.ev platform, which was initially used in the Punch EV. Its greatest boot in its class will also be included, enhancing its usefulness.
With a larger battery pack expected to provide a range of about 600 km in the top-end trims, the Tata Curvv EV will have a larger battery pack than the low- and mid-spec versions. LED projector headlamps, an aero-pattern set of 18-inch alloy wheels, end-to-end LED Daytime Running Lights, sequential LED turn indicators, and a trademark sequence for arrival and departure will all be featured on the exterior.
Its SUV flair will be enhanced by piano black cladding and squared wheel arches. A wide panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, ventilated front seats, multi-mood ambient lighting, and a six-way power-adjustable driver seat are just a few of the many features found within the Tata Curvv EV. It also comes with numerous drive modes, leatherette seats, a four-spoke steering wheel wrapped in leather and a motorised tailboard with gesture activation—a first for the segment.
A frunk, 60:40 split seats, and paddle shifters for multi-mode regeneration are among the extra features. The five-seater has an electronic stability program, an auto hold EPB, and six airbags as standard equipment. Level 2 ADAS technology, which includes automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and a 360-degree video system with blind spot view, will also be advantageous to consumers.
In the interior of the Curvv EV, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system from Harman with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility takes centre stage. The car also has an Arcade.ev software suite with more than 20 apps and a JBL sound system with nine speakers, including a subwoofer. There’s also a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster included with imbedded maps.
The Curvv EV has a built-in 7.2 kW charger and offers fast charging. Additionally, it has technology for vehicles-to-vehicles (V2V) and vehicles-to-loads (V2L). While V2L converts the car into a portable power source for appliances, perfect for outdoor adventures, V2V allows charging other vehicles. The ICE version of the Curvv EV will also be unveiled after its launch.
