Infinix Note 40 Series Racing Edition is Officially Coming Soon, With A Hinted Design

April featured the debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC-powered Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Note 40 Pro 5G in India. The business is currently preparing to introduce a limited edition Note 40 series device. The mid-range phones have three back cameras, the most prominent of which is a 108-megapixel primary sensor, and an in-house Cheetah X1 power management technology. The Note 40 Pro+ has a 4,600mAh battery, while the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G has a 5,000mAh battery.

Infinix Note 40 series Racing Edition coming soon

Through a video post on X, the Transsion Holdings sub-brand announced the release of the Infinix Note 40 series Racing Edition. The video teases a BMW-inspired design with a dash of the famous tricolour on the panel and back camera island, and the post has a “coming soon” tag.

Similar to Infinix’s last Racing Edition smartphone, the Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition, the next Infinix Note 40 series special edition is anticipated to be created in association with BMW’s Designworks studio. It most likely has a UI theme and retail packaging with a BMW motif.

April featured the release of the Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Note 40 Pro 5G in India, with initial pricing of Rs. 24,999 and Rs. 21,999, respectively.

Running on XOS 14, which is based on Android 14, the Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Note 40 Pro 5G both have a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,436 pixels) curved 3D AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. They come with an in-house Cheetah X1 chip and a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC. Their 108-megapixel primary sensor, which supports optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 3x zoom, is the focal point of their triple camera arrangement. They include a 32-megapixel camera on the front for taking selfies and having video conversations.

The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Note 40 Pro 5G have an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication and an IP53-rated construction. Whereas the latter has a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, the former has a 4,600mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging. The 20W magnetic wireless charging is supported by both versions.
