It has been reported that the Next Mass Effect is in the developmental stage at BioWare. However, the fans of space RPG must not expect to grab this game in the near future. The rumors by Kotaku’s Jason Schreier claim that Electronic Arts and BioWare are planning an overhaul for the Anthem. All the changes that may come as one of the larger updates or series of smaller ones will include the missions, third-person shooters, and the loot system.

At the end of the report, he said that BioWarestill enjoys investment in RPGs after the foray in to the Destiny like shooters with the Anthem. Moreover, Dragon Age 4 is one of the new Mass Effect Game in early development stage. It was confirmed in yearly 2018. The news was shared by the executive producer Mark Darra, under Mike Gamble who has been a long time producer for the studio which was also a part of the Anthem team.

The return of the series floated for more than a while and lately the Mass Effect community’s celebration of N7 the same year. Casey Hudson at BioWare seems to be sharing about a new game in the series with his tweet with a concept art.

N7 day of this year also have Mass Effect themed skins in to the Anthem. This makes it clear that BioWare is not letting the franchise to be forgotten. In addition to the N7 day, Gamble along with his team mebers inquired the fans about what they would like to have in the New Mass Effect game.

However, BioWare has reported in the beginning of this year to subject to its developers for the terrible working conditions. It contributed to the issues of the Mass Effect and Anthem: Andromeda, the latest fourth installment in the series. The use of the Electronic Arts Frostbite engine, understaffed teams, and poor direction from the management were said to have the developers leave the studio.

With the failure of Anthem and shortcomings of the Mass Effect: Andromeda, it is still a thought if BioWare will be able to recapture the magic with Dragon Age 4 and a new Mass Effect. At the least, the studio has enough time to get the things right. It can safely be said that Dragon Age 4 is not to be launched until the year 2022. Following the same, the next Mass Effect will not come out until and unless this Dragon Age 4 is launched in 2022.

For now, it seems as is main concern of BioWare is the revival of Anthem. They earlier hoped it to be a hit. Once they are finished with retooling the latest IP, they might think of shifting the focus on to the much rumored game the Mass Effect game. No one knows to what extent there is truth about Rumor: A New Mass Effect Game is reportedly in early stages of development at BioWare. We can only wait and watch.
