KTM, an Austrian motorcycle manufacturer, has introduced a number of high-end models to the Indian market.
The 1390 Duke R EVO, 1290 Super Adventure S, 890 Duke R, 890 Adventure R, and three Enduro motorcycles are part of the portfolio.
These expensive bikes were previously only available outside, but now Indian consumers can purchase them as well.
KTM expands Duke Range with 2 New Models
The Duke line, which was formerly limited to the 125, 250, and 390 models, has been extended by KTM.
The flagship 1390 Duke R EVO and 890 Duke R represent the growth.
Both motorcycles will be shipped via the Completely Built-up Unit (CBU) route to India. Their ex-showroom prices are ₹22.96 lakh and ₹14.50 lakh, respectively.
A Closer look at the 890 Duke R
Known as the “super scalpel” or “ultimate middleweight naked,” the 890 Duke R is propelled by an 889cc parallel-twin motor.
The engine is a modified variant of the 790 Duke’s, which was sold in India for a short time.
It generates 119.35 horsepower and 99 Nm of torque. The bike weighs about 180 kg when wet, and the seat height is 820mm.
The 1390 Duke R EVO
KTM’s flagship model, the 1390 Duke R EVO, popularly referred to as the “Beast,” is equipped with the company’s newest 1,350cc LC8 V-twin engine.
An amazing 187.74 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque are produced by the potent engine.
The bike, which weighs about 200 kg (without gasoline), has a semi-active, completely adjustable suspension system, Brembo Stylema brakes, and other high-end parts.
KTM India’s Adventure Range gets New Models as well
In India, KTM has introduced the 890 Adventure R and 1290 Super Adventure S in the adventure market.
These bikes, which have ex-showroom values of ₹15.80 lakh and ₹22.74 lakh, respectively, will also be imported via the CBU method.
The 889cc parallel-twin engine that powers the adventure-ready 890 Adventure R generates 103.26 horsepower and 100 Nm of torque.
1290 Super Adventure S is a Sporty Adventure Motorcycle
Sporty adventure travel is the purpose of the 1290 Super Adventure S. It has rider-focused ergonomics, adaptive cruise control, and a semi-active suspension.
The 1,301cc V-twin engine that powers the bike produces 157 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque.
Without fuel, it weighs about 227 kg, and it has a 23-liter fuel tank.
KTM’s Enduro and Motocross Offerings
KTM has introduced the 350 EXC-SF Six Days enduro motorcycle, which retails for 12.96 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes hand in hand with the 390 Adventure.
With features like traction control, a quickshifter, an off-road control unit, two engine maps, rider-focused body positioning, and a two-piece exhaust system, this bike is ready for competition.
Along with the 250 SX-F (₹9.58 lakh) and the range-topping 450 SX-F (₹10.25 lakh), KTM also unveiled five closed circuit motocross bikes: the 50 SX (₹4.75 lakh), 65 SX (₹5.47 lakh), and 85 SX (₹6.89 lakh).
