Launched in October, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim will Be known as Samsung W25 in China

On July 10, 2024, Samsung has scheduled a Galaxy Unpacked event. It is expected that the company would introduce the Galaxy Watch 7 and new Galaxy Buds in addition to its next-generation foldable smartphones, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. There have been rumours that Samsung is working on a second foldable device, which would be named the Galaxy Z Fold Slim. This next smartphone has now been further illuminated by tipster Ice Universe.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, according to Ice Universe, will be a slimmer and lighter variant of the Z Fold 6 smartphone, with no support for the SPen. This gadget will make its debut as the Samsung W25 in China. The informant also states that this smartphone will launch in October, although he doesn’t specify if it will launch as the Samsung W25 or the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim.

Samsung’s W series smartphones are only available in China. In order to introduce these high-end rebranded versions of its most recent Galaxy Z series devices, Samsung works with China Telecom. Charitable causes receive the proceeds from the sale of Samsung W series devices. The Samsung W24 and W24 Flip, which are essentially rebranded Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 smartphones with an opulent appearance, were introduced by the brand last year.

Turning back to the Galaxy Fold 6 Slim, the drive was previously seen under the names “Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra” and with model numbers SM-F958N and SM-W9025. While the latter is part of the Chinese model, the former is intended for the South Korean market. Whether Samsung plans to release the smartphone outside of these two locations is still unknown.
