JSW In January 2025, MG Motor India plans to introduce the Cyberster electric roadster in India, most likely at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The Cyberster is MG’s first all-electric sports car, and it was initially shown in India in March of this year. The all-electric Cyberster roadster made its production premiere at Auto Shanghai in April 2023 after being shown as a concept in 2021.
The Cyberster features a streamlined nose, swept-back headlights, a splitter-equipped curved bumper, and noticeable air intakes underneath. The vehicle has electronically operated scissor doors and a soft-top cover that folds up and is hidden behind roll bars. It has arrow-shaped LED taillights on the back and a connected LED light bar that spans the boot’s width. It has an aggressive dual diffuser layout down below.
The interior of the cabin is decorated in sand-brown leather-suede, and a central unit unifies the digital instrument cluster and multimedia display. Conventional buttons and gear selector controls are also located on the central console. A flat-bottomed steering wheel with aluminium spokes, paddle shifters, and other controls has taken the place of the concept’s yoke-style steering wheel.
A 77 kWh battery pack powers the Cyberster’s two electric motors, one on each axle. All four wheels receive the 528 horsepower and 725 Nm of torque produced by the two-door electric roadster. It has a stated 3.2-second 0-100 kmph acceleration time and a 580-kilometer maximum range on a single charge. Additionally, a single-motor version that is available worldwide might be made available in India at a beginning price that is more affordable.
In the past, JSW MG Motor India implemented a twin-channel retail approach, creating a distinct sales network for its high-end vehicles, known as MG Select.
