The Windsor EV, MG Motor India’s newest electric vehicle, will be on sale next month. After Comet and ZS EV, the Windsor EV will be the brand’s third electric vehicle, based on the Wuling Cloud EV, which is sold all over the world. On September 11, the Windsor EV’s pricing will be revealed.
MG Windsor EV: Looks and Features
Some of its external design elements have already been made public by earlier sightings. These consist of flush-fitting door handles, an integrated spoiler, a vertically stacked headlamp cluster with projector headlights, front and rear LED light bars, a charging port on the left front fender, and large alloy wheels.
Inside, the EV will have ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, rear seats with a 135-degree recline feature called aero-lounge seats, and black leatherette upholstery for the seats.
Powertrain Details
The Cloud EV is offered with two battery packs—37.9kWh and 50.6kWh—in foreign markets. With a full charge, the stated range of each battery pack, which has a single electric motor, is 360 km or 460 km, respectively. Which battery pack will be available for the India-spec model is still up in the air.
Price and Rivals
The Windsor EV is anticipated to cost less than Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) and would sit beneath the ZS EV. It will compete with the Mahindra XUV400, Tata Curvv EV, and Tata Nexon EV when it launches.
