Motorola Razr 50 has surfaced on the websites of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EEC), suggesting that the foldable smartphone is in development and may be released soon. The foldable smartphone was previously listed by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Nevertheless, it is anticipated that the Motorola Razr 50 series would debut in India in addition to other international markets.

Motorola Razr 50 series: What to expect

The Motorola Razr 50 would be offered in two models – the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra.

It is expected that the base model in the series will have a secondary 3.6-inch OLED cover screen in addition to a 6.9-inch flexible OLED display. For comparison, the current low-cost Razr 40 series device has a 1.5-inch horizontal OLED display on its cover. On the other hand, the Razr 40 Ultra, its older sibling, sports a full-size 3.6-inch display on its cover. Having said that, it is anticipated that the vanilla model in the series will have a full-size display on the cover, just as the Ultra model of the current generation. Regarding the Razr 50 Ultra, rumour has it that it will have a 4-inch cover display instead of the current generation model’s 3.6-inch display.

Regarding the CPUs, MediaTek Dimensity 7300x with up to 8GB RAM is anticipated to power the Razr 50. The phone listing on the aforementioned certification websites reveals this information. In contrast, the Razr 50 Ultra is rumoured to come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor.

It is anticipated that the two smartphones would have two cameras on the back: a 13MP ultra-wide angle camera and a 50MP primary camera. The sources stated that the foldable smartphone pair will include an internal flexible display with a 32MP on-display camera.
