New SUVs from Skoda and Kia will be introduced in India Next Year

In 2025, Kia will introduce the Syros and Skoda will introduce the Kylaq, two small SUVs with sleek exteriors, cutting-edge technologies, and potent petrol engines.

With the expected introduction of the Skoda Kylaq and Kia Syros in 2025, the Indian compact SUV market is set to undergo an exciting transition. In order to satisfy the changing tastes of Indian consumers, these new competitors pledge to combine performance, flair, and innovation.

1. Skoda Kylaq – Early 2025

With the Kylaq scheduled to debut early next year, Skoda is preparing to establish itself in the small SUV market. Based on the same MQB A0 IN platform as the Kushaq and Slavia, this is Skoda’s first foray into the sub-4m market.

Even though the most recent spy photos don’t show all the specifics, it’s safe to assume that the Kylaq will have a number of recognisable Skoda design elements, such as the butterfly grille and a split LED lighting setup up front.

The Kylaq’s side profile will have a simple, minimalist appearance in keeping with Skoda’s design ethos. It is anticipated to have 16-inch all-black alloy wheels. T-shaped LED taillamps and a new “SKODA” insignia placed prominently in the middle of the tailgate were also revealed in the first teaser. Its attractive appearance is further enhanced by additional visual components such as an upright bonnet, blacked-out pillars, a sunroof, and black roof rails.

To improve safety, the Kylaq will also have Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Its 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine will power it, providing the ideal mix of performance and fuel economy for city driving.

2. Early 2025 Kia Syros

The Syros, an intriguing new small SUV that will sit between the Sonet and Seltos, is scheduled to be unveiled by Kia in early 2025. The Syros’s unique two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, which hasn’t been seen on any Kia car in India yet, is visible in recent spy photos. The K4 sedan, which made its global premiere earlier this year, and other recent international Kia vehicles seem to be the sources of inspiration for this new design. There will be an offset Kia insignia on the steering wheel.

Additionally, interior photos show two screens that resemble those in the Seltos. These screens most likely include a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and a 10.25-inch touchscreen.

With an estimated fuel efficiency of 18 km/l, the Syros is anticipated to come with two petrol engine options. Already seen in testing, this vehicle is designed to satisfy urban consumers looking for a contemporary driving experience by striking the ideal balance between style, functionality, and cutting-edge technologies.
