According to recent sources, Oppo might soon reveal the Oppo K12 as the first K-series phone of the year in China. In a recent Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station verified the device’s primary characteristics. The Oppo K12’s design is revealed by the leaker in a recent Weibo post that includes a schematic of the device.
The Oppo K12 schematic
The front of the Oppo K12 is a punch-hole OLED panel that appears to be merged with a fingerprint scanner, according to the schematic. Its two cameras and LED flash are mounted on a raised module in the upper-left corner of the back.
An alarm slider is likewise depicted on the left side of the K12 schematic. There is a power key and a volume rocker on the right edge of the phone. The K12 looks to have a two-speaker setup, with one speaker likely located in the bottom edge and the other in the top bezel.
Specifications of the rumoured Oppo K12
According to rumours, the Oppo K12 will boast a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 1.5K. Android 14 with ColorOS 14 preinstalled will be included with the device.
It will sport a 16-megapixel camera on the front and a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera set on the back. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 CPU, 12 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage will be found within the device’s body.
Details regarding the phone’s battery capacity and charging capabilities are lacking. It looks like it might take over the Oppo K11’s 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging, which made its debut last year. Recall that while the Oppo K11 5G and the OnePlus Ace 2V had comparable designs, their internal components differed. Oppo looks to be going with the similar approach with the Oppo K12 and Ace 3V. A leaked picture of the Ace 3V (shown below) shows a camera module that resembles the schematic above quite a bit.Consequently, it appears that the Ace 3V and K12 may have different internals while having a similar exterior, as the latter is rumoured to have a more potent Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 CPU.
