‘Quick Reply’ Is Now Available in Google’s Gmail App For Android: How it Functions

Google has begun to roll out the updated Gmail app for Android, which comes with a quick reply option and a new look. You can respond to emails using the “Quick Reply” feature on the Gmail app for Android without having to launch the full-screen compose message window.

Since November 2023, the US-based software behemoth has been testing rapid answers in the Gmail app for Android. Now that the function has been officially released, it will be accessible with Android’s May function Drop.

In the past, to access the compose box on the screen where you could type the message, you had to hit the reply button at the bottom of the email. At this point, there is a text box with the options to reply, reply all, and forward at the bottom of the screen. The new UI’s text box also features a file attachment option on the left, a drop-down menu for replying, changing the recipients list, and replying to everyone. The text field has icons for forward and emojis next to it. As before, you will also be able to expand the text box to the compose box on the screen.

With the new feature, responding with a brief message is now simple and quick. As with instant messaging programmes, you can also refer to the text you are replying to.

The feature will soon be accessible to additional users and is now being rolled out account-by-account. You can get this update on Android Gmail 2024.05.05.05.x. It’s also anticipated that Google will add the Gemini button, which allows you to ask questions and assist with email summaries, to the Gmail Android app.
