Team Mohamed’s team from Guyana highlight the challenges in the industry.
The kind of success and the level of momentum a few industries today gain cannot just be attributed to the advent of technology. Technology definitely is an important factor, but one cannot deny the heavy contribution a few professionals and teams make in their respective industries to take their niches to the next level of success, even amidst much competition. This has helped them carve a unique niche for themselves, motivating other aspiring team of professionals to pave their own path to success. Across Guyana, South America, we noticed how Team Mohamed’s has taken over the professional motor racing sport for reasons more than one. The winner-like racing team consists of racers that live and breathe cars and who hold a lifelong passion for cars. This passion has what helped Team Mohamed’s become one of the most prominent names in the industry in Guyana.
The Guyanese owner of the team confesses how from the very beginning, he had a passion for race cars and aspired to be a part of the industry. This motivated him to initiate his own race team in the form of Team Mohamed’s, which has a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, three undefeated GTRs, with horsepower ranging from 2000 to 2500hp, a 4000hp Pro Mod Ford Mustang, and professional sports bikes. Team Mohamed’s has now been pumping in a lot of money and is determined to develop Guyana’s motor racing infrastructure to meet international standards. However, the team has also come forward to highlight a few challenges they have faced in the industry.
They highlight that motor sports are one of the few remaining sports with separate entities running the sport and participating in it. NASCAR is often held up as a working model for this type of thing. Though it is working now, but it will be NASCAR’s undoing in the future. Hence, they think that the only way to continue the long-term viability of a sports program will be to allow those with a large investment in the game (the teams) to have a voice and/or vote in policy and a piece of the financial pie.
Team Mohamed’s also advises upcoming and aspiring motor racers to develop a relentless mindset to always achieve more, take risks, build a strong relationship with the team, and always keep investing in the brand and team.
