Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite: Details
A second-generation Oryon CPU (central processing unit) with a 2+6 octa-core architecture—two Prime cores and six Performance cores—is featured in the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is based on a 3nm architecture. Performance and power efficiency are improved by this setup. Power efficiency is further enhanced by the chip’s Adreno GPU (graphic processing unit), which has a revolutionary sliced architecture.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite also incorporates a Qualcomm AI Engine, which consists of a Hexagon neural processing unit (NPU), CPU, and GPU. On-device generative AI capabilities are made possible by the NPU’s 45% improved AI performance and efficiency.
