The exact release date for Solo Levelling -ReAwakening-, the upcoming Solo Levelling recap movie, in theatres across the United States, has been officially announced by Crunchyroll. This comes after the streamer was able to secure the theatrical rights to the upcoming film, a special recap of the first season of the anime series, in North America and several other countries.

“Over a decade has passed since a pathway called a ‘gate’ which connects this world and another dimension suddenly appeared, and people with superhuman powers called ‘hunters’ have been awakened,” reads the official synopsis. “Hunters use their superhuman powers to conquer dungeons inside the gates to make a living, and Sung Jinwoo, a hunter of the lowest rank, is considered the Weakest Hunter of All Mankind. One day, he encounters a double dungeon, a high-level dungeon hidden inside a low-level one. In front of a severely wounded Jinwoo, a mysterious quest window pops up. On the verge of death, Jinwoo decides to take on the quest, which makes him the only person who can level up.”

When is the Solo Leveling recap movie release date?

On December 6, 2024, Solo Levelling -ReAwakening- is slated to open in theatres across the United States and Canada. Touted as a “cinematic fan experience,” the movie will also feature a special preview of Solo Levelling Season 2’s first two episodes, which will air in January 2025.

The anime series, directed by ShunsuKe Nakashige, is based on Chugong’s best-selling Korean webtoon. Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan) and the Korean boy band TOMORROW X TOGETHER are in charge of the show’s soundtrack. Hirotaka Tokuda created the monsters for the anime, and Tomoko Sudo designed the characters. A-1 Pictures handles the animation, and Production I.G. (Attack on Titan) is in charge of the motion graphics.
