Steph Curry of the Warriors sees his incredible 3-point shooting streak end

In Sunday’s 118-114 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry’s remarkable run came to an end.

Prior to the match, Curry had scored at least one 3-point basket in 268 straight games. At 157 games, he has the second-longest run as well. It was against the Milwaukee Bucks on November 8, 2018, that he last missed a 3-point shot. On Sunday, he was 0 for 8 against Portland.

“We can’t rely on Steph to bail us out on every single night,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said after the game. “It was a tough night for him, but that’s what a team is supposed to be about. Everybody filling in for each other, different guys stepping up each night. That’s a great sign, because he’s carried us for long enough this year. We need to give him more help.”

Curry had eight assists and seven points in the end. He entered the game at +14. With 28 points, Klay Thompson helped the team win. Portland dropped to 6-19 while Golden State advanced to 12-14.

With 3,505 made 3-pointers in his NBA career, the two-time MVP leads the field.

Game 5 against the Boston Celtics in 2022 marked the end of his postseason streak. Up until that point, he had made 132 straight 3-pointers. The following game, Golden State emerged victorious in the NBA championship.

With a 41.1% 3-point percentage, Curry is scoring 28 points a night on average this season.
