The 2024 Golden Globes saw Jennifer Lawrence don a plunging Dior gown—her first since becoming a mother
Returning to the Golden Globes, Jennifer Lawrence is now a mother to her son Cy, who turns two in February.
The actress, who is up for a nomination in the comedy or musical category for her performance in No Hard Feelings, looked stunning in a deep dark blue velvet Dior gown that had a sleeveless silhouette and a plunging V-neckline.
She accessorized the classic style with a studded purse, a striking Tiffany & Co. necklace, and bold cuff earrings.
She wore a sophisticated side-swept haircut and a glossy pink lip to complete her glowing Globes look.
Lawrence, 33, is a regular on the Golden Globes red carpet. The actress has received three awards in her career thus far despite having had six nominations. Following her 2013 Golden Globe victory for Silver Linings Playbook, Lawrence’s 2014 win for American Hustle in the best supporting actress category was her second consecutive Golden Globe.
Her most recent attendance at the ceremony was in 2016, when she won the best actress in a motion film, musical, or comedy for Joy. In addition, she received four Oscar nominations and one win for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook in 2013.
The well-known actress is a reliable stylist. The seasoned Dior advocacies attended the launch of Dior’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks’ Holiday window show in November, donning an almost entirely black ensemble that included silk skirt and suede knee-high boots.
Then, in December, she went to the Broadway premiere of Appropriate while sporting an enormous red coat from The Row, designed by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, that cost close to $10,000.
Even said, Lawrence doesn’t often walk the red carpet; this is especially true now that she and her husband Cooke Maroney welcomed their son Cy in April 2022.
The single mother revealed on Good Morning America in June 2023 that she might become a helicopter parent. This is probably not as extreme as the parents of the main character in No Hard Feelings, who employ Lawrence’s thirtysomething out-of-work wife to date their 19-year-old son.
Most likely. Whether or not Lawrence will be a helicopter parent to Cy, that’s something she’ll have to work on.
She continued by saying that although she had originally intended to take a break from work following the birth of her baby, the script for No Hard Feelings was simply too good to refuse.
“I just had a baby and I wasn’t planning on working for a long time,” she said. “But I read the script. It was the funniest thing I had ever read.”
