The Changan Nevo E07 will Launch on October 21 for $35,100 USD

The Qiyuan E07, also known as the Neo E07 in foreign markets, is scheduled to launch on October 21st, according to Changan’s official release. The vehicle’s pre-sales started on September 22 and came in three different versions: the EV Max Smart Driving variant, which costs 269,900 yuan (37,900 USD), the EREV Max Smart Driving variant, which starts at 249,900 yuan, and the EV Ultra High-Performance variant, which costs 319,900 yuan (44,900 USD).

The E07, which combines SUV and truck design components and comes in both pure electric and range-extended variants, is based on Changan’s SDA architecture. The vehicle has a wraparound tail light at the back, C-shaped LED headlights, and a closed front grille. Its measurements are 5045 mm in length, 1996 mm in width, 3120 mm in wheelbase, and, depending on the model, 1640 to 1695 mm in height. Additionally, it comes with 20- and 21-inch wheel options.

The interior of the Nevo E07 takes a minimalist approach, eschewing a conventional instrument panel in favour of a 15.4-inch central control screen and a 28.86-inch AR-HUD (augmented reality head-up display). Additional features include a retractable tailboard with a 300 kg load capacity that enables the car to transition between SUV and truck forms.

Performance-wise, the EREV variant is driven by a rear electric motor that generates 231 kW (310 hp) in conjunction with a 1.5T range extender. A 131 kW (176 hp) front motor is added as part of the dual-motor option, increasing the vehicle’s total output to 362 kW. With a battery capacity of 39.05 kWh, the single-motor and dual-motor versions can go 200 and 185 km, respectively, on pure electricity.

With a front motor of 188 kW in the dual-motor arrangement and 252 kW in the single-motor layout, the EV model has more potent motors. With an 800V high-voltage charging system that can add 365 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging, the vehicle’s range varies from 551 km to 1,000 km, depending on the model.

With two lidars, five millimeter-wave radars, twelve ultrasonic radars, and eleven cameras—all driven by NVIDIA’s Orin-X intelligent driving chip—the E07 comes equipped with advanced driver aid technologies as standard. Level 2+ autonomous driving is supported with this configuration. The vehicle is positioned as a high-tech choice in the expanding EV industry by including satellite communication technologies as well.
