The Godzilla Movie “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” to follow “Godzilla Minus One”?

Since the 1950s, Godzilla has been a beloved monster by fans. The Japanese films “Godzilla Minus One” and “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” are the most recent contributions to the well-known Godzilla filmography.

Both North American and international audiences gave both films positive reviews.

To far, no MonsterVerse film has been filmed since “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” was released on March 29, 2024. Regarding any Godzilla film, there has been no formal announcement.

“Godzilla Minus One” is making history, and it’s a terrific time to be a fan. The film boasts an incredible plot and visual effects, scoring a perfect 98 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. It has also set records for box office receipts and viewership on Netflix, an over-the-top streaming service. Despite having a budget of barely $15 million, the 37th Godzilla movie has made over $157.8 million at the global box office.

The film is set in post-World War II Japan, when Koichi, a kamikaze pilot, deserts his country’s needs by landing on an island at the end of the conflict. When things go wrong and a Godzilla attacks the island, he is compelled to defend himself. Will Godzilla’s danger be too much for Japan to handle, a country still reeling from the wounds of the war? One can only find out this after seeing the film.
