The MWC 2024 Will See The Debut Of The Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G, Which Will Support Dolby Atmos
It is announced that the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G will debut in late February at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona. The device will launch as the first smartphone in the Pova 6 series and the first from Tecno to feature Dolby Atmos spatial audio. The Tecno Pova 5 Pro from last year will be replaced with the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G. The latter supports 68W rapid charging and has a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC. It has a dual rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a refresh rate display of 120 Hz.
The Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G will make its worldwide debut at the MWC 2024 in Barcelona, according to a press statement sent by Tecno on Monday, January 29. The dates of the event are set for February 26–29. The newest smartphone in the Transsion Holdings subsidiary’s Pova series will enable Dolby Atmos for the first time ever.
According to the press release, Tecno and Dolby Laboratories have partnered to enable Dolby Atmos on Tecno’s Pova 6 series smartphones. As part of the partnership, it is also stated that upcoming smartphones in the Phantom, Camon, and Pova lines would feature Dolby Atmos sound. “The collaboration will provide Tecno’s global users with a breathtaking Dolby Atmos spatial sound experience that you can feel all around you — revealing depth, clarity, and details like never before,” said Tecno.
As a successor to the Tecno Pova 5 Pro, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G will make its debut. The latter was introduced in August of last year, with a starting price of Rs. 14,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.
With a refresh rate of 120Hz, it features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ display powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 CPU. With its dual back camera unit, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro has a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an AI lens. It has a 16-megapixel front camera and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W rapid charging.
