With the Nord 3, OnePlus is kicking the Nord mainline series into high gear. Despite being fourth in lineage behind the Nord 2T, it claims a number of firsts in that particular lineup, such as the first model to offer a choice of 16GB of RAM.
What are the features of the OnePlus Nord 3?
The Nord 3’s fairly advanced display may raise some eyebrows on paper: It has a 6.74-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels and dynamic support for refresh rates between 40 and 120 Hz, which is a significant improvement over the 2T’s fixed 90 Hz. A 16MP selfie camera and a fingerprint sensor are located beneath the screen.
The 50MP, 4K-capable Sony IMX890 sensor on the back of the OnePlus 11 serves as primary camera with optical stabilization. An 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro unit are below that, though OnePlus acknowledges that the latter has a smaller field of view than the Nord 2T’s.

The Dimensity 9000 chipset from MediaTek is inside, and it was designed to compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The battery has two cells with a total capacity of 5,000mAh and can be charged at up to 80W using the SuperVOOC wall adapter and USB-C cable that comes with the device. However, wireless charging is not available.
The telephone is the primary recipient in the Nord mainline of OnePlus’ late developments of programming support, set to get three operating system refreshes proceeding from OxygenOS 13.1 (Android 13) and four years of safety patches – it doesn’t match Samsung’s or even parent organization Oppo’s loftier commitments for four operating system updates and five years of safety, yet is as yet a stage above what the Nord 2T is getting.

From now until July 31, customers can pre-order the 16/256GB model for €499 and receive a few freebies, such as OnePlus Nord Buds 2, a Fujifilm INSTAX mini Link 2 instant wireless printer, or a Sandstone bumper case for their new phone. However, you won’t be able to buy one because, according to the company, logistical issues have forced it to restrict availability to just 16 EU member countries and a few key global markets, including India. This might change as time walks forward, so keep your fingers crossed.
