The all-new Vantage from Aston Martin is available in India for a starting price of Rs 3.99 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). After the DB12 Coupe and Volante, the renowned British supercar brand is the third new introduction of the year.
With the introduction of the DB5, the Vantage brand was adopted as a model identifier in 1964. The first standalone Vantage was introduced in the early 1970s. The brand-new Vantage will start to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2024. The super sports coupe has undergone substantial interior and external styling changes in its most recent iteration.
Aston Martin Vantage: Powertrain & Performance
The same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol engine from Mercedes-AMG powers the Aston Martin Vantage, producing a peak torque of 800 Nm and 658 horsepower. In comparison, the outgoing Vantage produced 685 Nm and 504 horsepower. With the use of an electromechanical limited-slip differential, this motor is coupled with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox to provide power to the back wheels.
Improvements in acceleration have also been made by lowering the final-drive ratio. In terms of performance, the Vantage can sprint in under 3.5 seconds from 0 to 100 kmph. The maximum speed of the British sports vehicle is 325 kmph. There are five different drive modes available: Wet, Sport, Sports Plus, Track, and Individual. These drive modes modify the calibrations of the chassis, drivetrain, and steering.
Aston Martin Vantage: Interiors & Features
Inspired by the DB12, the all-new Vantage ultra-luxury interior features an elegant fusion of premium materials and state-of-the-art technology. It receives a redesigned centre console and a brand-new, internally built 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Aston Martin provides a comprehensive range of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, driver drowsiness recognition, and other safety features. Blind spot monitoring, an electric parking brake, traction control, and a 360-degree surround camera are among the other safety features available.
Aston Martin Vantage: Exterior
With a bolder and more dynamic design language than its predecessor, the new Vantage has a noticeably more assertive visual posture. Along with new intake vents at the corners and a more prominent character line on the hood, the front fascia is highlighted by a prominent grille that almost completely covers the width of the bumper. There is no denying the striking similarity to the renowned One-77 supercar.
The rear has a more commanding bumper and diffuser combo, while the front has discreetly redesigned fender air ducts. Additionally, the wider stance and 30mm larger breadth of the new Vantage improve its overall presence. It also has flush electronic door knobs and elegant frameless mirrors. Customers can also choose between two distinct 21-inch alloy wheels with custom designs.
