Vivo Unveiled its First Smartphone Powered by the Latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Processor
Initial details regarding Vivo’s first smartphone running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 have been made public.
Qualcomm merely confirmed the existence of the chipset a week ago, and today they announced the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. At first, the chipset maker acknowledged that many Android OEMs have produced Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 handsets. Since then, Qualcomm’s latest chipset will be used in the Moto X50 Ultra, which Motorola has disclosed will go on sale globally as the Edge 50 Pro and Edge Plus 2024.
Furthermore, Xiaomi has stated that the processor would power an unidentified Redmi smartphone in addition to the CIVI 4 Pro. Vivo has also joined the group, though it hasn’t yet disclosed the exact name of the gadget. Rather, it has stated that by growing the iQOO Z9 series, it will provide the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
To put things in perspective, Vivo merely revealed the iQOO Z9, which sports a big AMOLED display, a 50 MP primary camera, and a Dimensity 7200 CPU, a few days ago. A 5,000 mAh battery that enables 44 W wired charging is another feature of the iQOO Z9. According to reports, Vivo plans to include the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in the iQOO Z9 Turbo, which may also include 80 W wired charging. Furthermore, in contrast to the standard iQOO Z9, the iQOO Z9 Turbo is rumoured to include a 1.5K display and a 6,000 mAh battery.
